Why
the Hudson Valley?
The Hudson Valley is located in the Northeast section of
the United States. According to the regional planning organizations,
Mid-Hudson Pattern for Progress, Inc. "40%
of the population of the U.S. and Canada is within 10 hours
trucking time from the Hudson Valley."
Major Highways:
New York State Thruway/Adirondack Northway (I-87) which runs
north and south connects New York City and Montreal.
Interstate 84 which runs east and west connects all of New
England, Hartford, Boston, Pennsylvania, the Middle Atlantic
States and the Midwest. I-84 connects with I-87 and the above
referenced airport.
Interstate 90 connects with I-87 and goes to places such
as Buffalo, Syracuse and Albany.
THE WORLD IS ONE STOP AWAY!
Airport:
Stewart International Airport is located in Newburgh, New
York. It offers major carrier passenger airline service to
many hub cities for connections to anywhere in the world.
It also offers full freight service and is designated as a
foreign trade zone.
TRACKS ARE BACK!
Train Stations:
Commuter service is offered by Amtrack and Metro-North. Conrail
operates major freight lines along the Hudson River. Norfolk
Southern Railroad is a Class 1 freight carrier operating in
almost all states east of the Mississippi except the New England
States. It operates lines from Chicago/St Louis/Detroit through
Buffalo to New York (Jersey City).
Utility:
Central Hudson is the local utility which offers electric
and natural gas services for all commercial and industrial
customers. They offer many incentive programs designed to
improve profitability and control energy costs.
